Andrew Lacy – Zap Travel
Andrew Lacy is a Australian born, silicon-valley raised serial entrepreneur. He enjoys markets that are undergoing a lot of change and building product that delight. Prior to the entrepreneurial bug, Andrew consulted airlines on new markets and competitor game theory as well as finding the time to tour 80 countries. Andrew holds an MBA from Stanford University and Law and Economics degrees from Melbourne University.
Zaptravel is a disruptive online natural language travel site where users ask simple questions like “I want to visit a historical city in Europe” or I’d like to go surfing in Morocco” and the site automatically construct inspiring trip deals based on what experience the customer wants. We are driven by a belief that travel planning and purchasing an the internet can and should be as easy as it was at a pre-internet travel agent. Launched in the beginning of 2013 in Paris, the company has expanded rapidly to serve around 40 points of origin in Europe and North America and is considered one of the top innovative travel companies of 2013.
