Rob Maclean is founder and CEO of App Developer Studio (www.appdeveloperstudio.co.za) based in Johannesburg. App Developer Studio built the Africa: Live app for people on safari to share their animal sightings with the rest of the world and generate data for conservation. The app has been downloaded by 30,000 people and the sightings map www.wildafricalive.com has been viewed over a million times from more than a hundred countries. Africa: Live won the 2013 ‘Best Travel App in Africa’ Award by e-Tourism Frontiers, sponsored by South African Tourism and Visa International. Rob graduated from Oxford University and worked in Financial Services for 10 years before setting up App Developer Studio.
