E-Tourism Frontiers held a series of training sessions in the beautiful Seychelles in March 2016 in partnership with the Seychelles Tourist Board. Following a strategy and training session with Staff from the Tourism Board, a complete two day seminar on digital marketing and management of travel was held in Victoria for almost 100 local stakeholders from all over the destination, including hoteliers, tour operators and activity providers.
These practical sessions allowed the Seychellois sector an opportunity to discuss the future direction, focus and markets for the destination, and guided them through practical steps to rethink and redirect their marketing plans to reach modern connected travellers.
The seminars also saw the Completion of STB’s My Seychelles Experience Video Competition, a global campaign that saw over 70 international travellers enter and share their videos of their experience visiting the Seychelles in the hope of winning a luxury return trip to the islands. It was close competition with an impressively professional selection of finalists chosen by a panel of judges. STB CEO Sherin Naiken SKYPE called the final winner, Bogdan Florin at his home in Romania to let him know he would be returning to the Seychelles flying Business Class with Etihad for a stay at the beautiful Four Seasons Seychelles.
E-Tourism Frontiers is planning further developmental workshops and regional Indian Ocean events with the Seychelles.
